Cllr Cllr Update Sept 19th

Dear all

Here is my weekly update.

You’ll see there is a survey on Norfolk Recycling Centres, open till October 18th. Please do comment if you like or dislike the booking system or the way the centres are operating:

www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/RecyclingCentres2026/

In addition,  I am in discussions with NCC regarding the inability to book by phone at the weekend, which makes it hard if you decide on the day to take stuff to the dump.

The Big Conversation on Care vote is thought provoking!

The Common Grant Award funding for community groups from the Government looks interesting. Find out more at

Community groups invited to apply for funding to bring people together – GOV.UK

Please can I draw your attention to a survey from Healthwatch Norfolk on the future of healthcare in your communities, what is working for you and what isn’t, and where you would like to receive care. It isn’t a consultation on proposals to change any services, if necessary that would be consulted on later, but it is an opportunity to have your say and do take this:

Have your say on the future of healthcare in Norfolk and Waveney – Healthwatch Norfolk

In addition, I have been speaking the Road Safety team about putting on more free older driver workshops. Most of the ones scheduled are fully booked but more can be put on if the demand is there so if you know of residents who would like to ask to be put on a waiting list for new workshops please email me and I’ll pass the request on ( please specify where would be most convenient – Fakenham, Sheringham, Wells for example)

Here are details of the course: Older driver workshop – Norfolk County Council

There are also individual sessions with a driving instructor which are offered at the reduce rate of £42 ( free to those on pension credit). More details are available at

Guidance for older drivers (GOLD) – Norfolk County Council

Do get in touch if any questions.

Very best wishes,

Cllr. Victoria Holliday
